A Passport to Adventure
One of the most subtle and clever design elements of Moxy Halifax is the custom carpet, which you’ll find in the hallways leading to your room. The carpet is designed to replicate an old passport, with cracked paper and faded colours. Along the border, you’ll see passport stamps from the owners’ family, including one of the owner’s father’s original passport stamp, received when immigrating to Canada, in 1967. Can you find it? The carpet is a passport to adventure, and a way to express our identity and our journey. It is also a way to welcome you and to invite you to explore the city and the world. We hope that your stay at Moxy Halifax will be a memorable and enjoyable one, and that you’ll collect some stamps of your own along the way.
